10 Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease

Alz.org has developed a guide to help you recognize 10 signs of Alzheimer’s disease.  This site gives examples of 10 warning signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s.  Each person may notice one or more of these signs. If you discover you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please see a doctor:

  • Memory loss that disrupts daily life
  • Challenges in planning or solving problems
  • Difficulty completing familiar tasks at home, at work or at leisure
  • Trouble understanding visual images and spatial relationships
  • New problems with words in speaking or writing
  • Misplacing things and losing the ability to retrace steps
  • Decreased or poor judgment
  • Withdrawal from work or social activities
  • Changes in mood and personality

Additionally, this site has a doctor checklist to help prepare you with questions that you need to be prepared to answer and gives you questions to ask your doctor. This allows you to be prepared for that first appointment.
