Our Azura HR department has been looking to find creative and fun moral boosters that won’t break the bank, and Ally, our Human Resources Recruiter at our Azura Support Center in Milwaukee has been on top of it!
“Ally spent time searching for new ideas and she found some really INNOVATIVE ideas that we will be doing with the team!”
Ally gave team members a cookie with a note that say “no matter how the cookie crumbles, you are the best staff around!” Also, she supplied the team with “I am lucky” cards that showed what they are lucky for, and green goodies like MnMs, lime ice cream, ginger ale, and so much more!

“Sherri embodies RESPECT by being a true team player,” shared a fellow Team Member who works with Sherri McCallum, Caregiver at our Azura Memory Care of Monroe home.
Not only did Sherri work much of the holiday season, so that others could be home with their families, but she also comes to work each day with a positive attitude and smile for all!
“She is kind, compassionate and thorough in her work, which makes her a pleasure to work with,” shared another Team Member.

According to those who work with Ariel Gonzales, Caregiver at our Azura Memory Care of Oak Creek home, “she is always RESPECTful to everyone.”
This past Valentine’s Day Ariel took extra time and care to ensure the residents looked their best for their party and photo shoot. She takes time to help with activities, fill in wherever and whenever needed, and anticipates the needs of her residents to ensure their care.
“She always goes the extra mile for our residents,” shared another Azura Team Member. Thank you, Ariel for going above and beyond to follow our Core Values at Azura!
As a new member of the Azura family, Kristin Yang “has really started to grow into her role as a House Manager,” said one Team Member at Azura Memory Care of Oconomowoc.
“She is a true team player,” they explained. “She has been a mentor new hires have been able to lean on for advice, and extra training. She really makes the team comfortable and leads by example.”
Kristin, keep up the great work! It is apparent we have hired and will RETAIN the finest with you!
As the “go-to” person for help, Jeremy Larson, Maintenance Technician for our Azura Memory Care of Beloit and Azura Memory Care of Clinton homes is always ready to lend a hand. Having been with the Azura family for many years, Jeremy is a resource to others on the Maintenance Team and according to them, “is always only a phone call away.”
His nominator shares, “he has a great RESPECT towards guests and coworkers” and is definitely a RETAINed asset for Azura!

Heather Burns, Caregiver at our Azura Memory Care of Oshkosh home was nominated by her fellow Team Members for, “always having the best attitude when coming into work and throughout her shift. Whenever she answers the door or the phone, she greets people the ‘Azura Way!’ with a smile on her face!”
They go on to explain that Heather always seems to make the house run smoothly and that the residents are happiest when she is working. According to one, “she is always working hard!”

“Sherry always amazes me with her attention to detail and care for our residents,” shared one Team Member from Azura Memory Care of Oak Creek of her fellow caregiver, Sherry Boudreau. “She is kind, respectful and thorough with everything she does at Azura.”
Upon learning residents had special diets, Sherry took the time to learn and document the details of each and provide this information to her Team. In addition, she also designed an easy to follow meal protocol to help with dining process should residents need to quarantine, which ensured that every resident continued to receive the interaction and assistance they might need.
Thank you, Sherry for focusing on the current and potential needs of residents to ensure their RECOVERY!! Your INNOVATIVE attitude is EXCEPTIONAL!
Due to restrictions related to the pandemic our residents at Azura Memory Care of Monroe were unable to have their regular salon experience. Upon learning of this Maikayla Johson a Caregiver took it upon herself to create a hair salon for residents to enjoy.
“She washed, blow-dried, curled and styled hair for the residents,” explained her fellow Team Member. “It made the residents feel good about themselves and RECOVER their self-esteem. As a result, our residents were glowing with joy and happiness.”
Thank you Maikayla for being there for our residents and making a #MOSAICMoment happen for all!
“Katie does amazing work here at Azura,” stated one Team Member that works with Katie Robinett, a caregiver at our Azura Memory Care of Oshkosh home. “She demonstrates helping people RECOVER by sitting and playing the piano for the residents while they are right by her side, singing along. She plays their requests and laughs along with them. You can see the glow in their faces as it lifts their spirits.”
According to her Team, Katie is “here with passion and care in her heart” and does not hesitate to put the residents first and ensure that everyone receives the best care.

Core Value nominations can be submitted by anyone at Azura, including our residents. In fact, Betty Lowe, a caregiver at our Azura Memory Care and Assisted Living of Brookfield community has made quite an impact on one such Azura family member.
According to them, “when my belongings finally arrived Betty was one of the caregivers who unpacked and organized my kitchen things, which was very much helpful and appreciated. Betty has always gone out of her way to be thoughtful and helpful and kind.”
Betty helps the resident with their laundry, little things in her unit and extra snacks or items she knows the resident will enjoy. “Betty is the kind of person who inspires confidence and trust,” shares the resident.
Thank you Betty for being there for this resident and all who resident at Azura. Your INNOVATIVE approach has helped in their transition and ensured they feel like part of the Azura family.
