Azura makes it a priority to involve Active Therapy as part of our extensive daily calendar. This involves invigorating both the mind and body in getting out into the community, participating in daily themes and personalized activities, and meeting the core psychological needs of our residents. Examples of the activities our residents engage in Active Therapy daily include:
We all know that daily exercise is a part of a healthy routine so at Azura, we work to incorporate exercise into our daily care. Our exercise groups often play pool noodleball, volley ball, bocee ball, go for walks or follow along to a team-member-led exercise. Click here to view our Azura Exercise Video here!
Many of our Quality of Life Coordinators incorporate Group Outings into their monthly MOSAIC engagement calendars. Tapping into what our residents love to do, they use this information to plan exceptional trips and invite family and friends to join in on the fun too. Some Group Outings have included trips to local restaurants, museums, bowling alleys, apple orchards and much more!
In planning daily activities and engagements, the Azura team will often use the special national holidays to create innovative and fun days for all in our family of care. Whether it’s National Pie Day, 60’s day or Random Act of Kindness Day, we love incorporating new themes into our everyday MOSAIC engagements!
When the Wisconsin weather permits, our residents spend time outside gardening, playing games or socializing on our patios! We know that fresh air, warm sunshine and great conversation all contribute to meeting the core psychological needs of our residents, so we make it a priority to incorporate outdoor time into our engagements.
