Staying Connected through Technology

Kenosha-Skype1For many of today’s older adults, living hundreds or even thousands of miles away from family is an unfortunate but necessary reality. Azura Memory Care of Kenosha bridged that gap for one family with Skype. Bob and Adrienne were very excited to have the opportunity to talk and see their daughter. To them, it seemed as though they were sitting right next to each other.  They chatted for over an hour.

While a regular phone call from children is always welcome, there’s an emotional connection created by “seeing” a loved one. This was clearly evidenced by the smiles and general uplift in spirits the rest of the day.

Thanks for living our Core Values, Michael Brooker and Jodi Pavlovich. This was a very innovative and creative approach to connecting our residents to their loved ones.
