Linda graduated from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1986 in Community Health Education where she became passionate about teaching health and wellness for all ages. Her internship included teaching chair exercises at an elderly complex and it was then that she knew this was the age group she loved to work and engage in the most.
Later, Linda went on to get her Associate Degree in 2012 and Bachelor’s Degree from UW-Oshkosh in 2016 in Nursing and is board certified gerontological nurse through the American Nurse Credentialing Center. Linda shares that her daughter, who was born with a very rare syndrome and passed away at the age of nineteen after only being given a year to live at birth, was her biggest inspiration.
“She was my greatest teacher who showed me you don’t have to speak to communicate, to be patient and accept all abilities of others, and that it’s hard to trust others to take care of your loved ones, but it is sometimes necessary and can be beneficial for all involved.”
