LuAnn is the Executive Director of our home in Sheboygan! She shares, “My career began in long term care at the age of 18. I have been fortunate to have been provided with opportunities to advance my skills on the job working as a CNA, Rehab Aide, Activity Aide, Activity Director/Department Head, Memory Care Unit Manager, and Social Service Designee. My career then took me on to a position with the Alzheimer’s Association as a Program Specialist. I then had opportunities to manage assisted living facilities, gradually managing communities with higher occupancy. I have had the opportunity to provide education regarding Dementia and Alzheimer’s to community groups, professional groups, and private individuals. I have facilitated many support groups including groups for individuals with early stage memory loss. As an assisted living director, I have experience in managing a variety of staff and multiple interdisciplinary departments. I enjoy providing education to staff and conducting in-services and other educational events. It is important to me to build solid relationships with the families and residents of every community I have managed.”
